Monday Night Madness, that can only mean one thing - FREE BEER (almost) at The Magic Sponge! It's our world famous free beer offer, and all of our dining guests receive one ice cold Cambodia draft beer absolutely FREE for every whole dollar spent on our big portions of food from 6:00 until 9:00. Get some of our outstanding Indian food, our amazing Dory Rarebit, or choose from lots of other mains and desserts. It's wild, it's crazy, and it's total madness!

Live Music and Open Mic

Live Music and Open Mic Every Wednesday

From 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm

Wednesday is Live Music and Open Mic Night at The Magic Sponge, and we've got a great lineup tonight with host Ant Colloff and friends. If you're a musician, we've got loads of instruments for musicians traveling without the tools of their trade. We've got bass, keyboards, a brand new full drum set, banjo, harmonica, cajon and other percussion instruments so everyone can get involved. We have one of the best sound systems around with a 12-channel mixer, real ElectroVoice 1000 watt active speakers and real Shure mics for crystal clear sound. The music starts at 7:00, open mic at 8:00, jam at 9:00.

Earl Sullivan in Concert

Classical, Jazz, Flamenco, Bluegrass and bit of Country

The Magic Sponge is pleased to present Earl Sullivan in concert on 15 December. Earl Sullivan has been playing classical guitar, flaminco and finger style for 45 years and has an impressive musical pedigree. He studied in Montreal at Marx Bourget School of Music in Montreal for three years under the tutelage of Louis Roy, two years in Toronto Canada at the Lebar Institute for Guitar under Darko Ted Lebar, the former President of the Toronto Guitar Society, and he also Attended Master Classes with Narciso Yepez and Turibio Santos. Sullivan also studied three years with Internationally renown guitarist and recording artist Michael Laucke and attended three years at Concordia University as a music major. He has taught at Music City in Toronto, two years at the Quebec Conservatory of Music in Montreal Quebec and another three years of teaching experience at his home studio. Earl Sullivan has performed all over Canada, USA and throughout Asia and is a versatile in Classical , flamenco, bluegrass, country, and jazz styles. His concert at The Magic Sponge begins at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.
