Uncomfortably White Brothers in Concert
From 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm
On Saturday, 26 January, The Magic Sponge is proud to present the return of the duo that's been tearing up Phnom Penh, The Uncomfortably White Brothers. Guitarist Brother Greg has been plying his trade as a professional musician for various bands of his own, like The Parker Brothers, and as a side man for legends like Mo Tucker of The Velvet Underground, for over 25 years. Singer Brother Buck has also been involved in the business for over 25 years, playing in bands like comedy cabaret punks Monkish and for Ed Tudor Pole of Ten Pole Tudor and The Sex Pistols fame. Between them they have released six albums and toured almost every corner of the globe The duo met in Phnom Penh, both in a state of semi retirement from the business, only to discover a shared love of Soul music and tackling some 'untouchable' classic songs. It was then they decided to throw their hats back in the musical ring; doing only what they loved, simply for the sake of doing it. The response from crowds in Phnom Penh and Bangkok have spurred them on to bring more of their brand of electrifying performance to the discerning people of their new South East Asian home. Their only goal is to put a smile on your face and a fire under your dancing feet. Come down Saturday and you are guaranteed both!
