Saturday Music Showcase with Guest Artist Toby Dawes

On Saturday, 22 December, The Magic Sponge is proud to present Welsh multi-instrumentalist Toby Dawes in concert. Toby plays the guitar, piano/synthesizer, saxophone, trumpet and accordion and the EWI (Electric Wind Instrument) or Space Flute, which is part of his musical montage in which he combines the guitar, loop pedal and vocals. Toby has played in many countries with acts of such varied genres as hip hop, blues, folk, and drum and base, and also as a street performer. His current style has be likened to Jeff Buckley and John Martin with finger picking rhythms on guitar accompanied by the sounds of the space flute. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free.
